Abstract

A new weevil, Groehnius electrum Bukejs and Legalov, gen. et sp. nov. (Coleoptera:Curculionidae: Curculioninae), is described from Eocene Baltic amber. Thisnew genus is similar to the genus Archaeoeugnomus Legalov, 2016 from Baltic amber butdiffers in the femora without ventral teeth, and the scape not reaching theanterior margin of the eye. It is the second record of the tribe Eugnominiin the Eocene.
